Architects & Designers

Hunt Hardwood works with industry professionals to purvey custom wood products for both residential and commercial projects. From custom flooring to timber products such as beams, mantles, tabletops and doors, we are able to provide a vast array of species, grades, cuts, colors, finishes, and sizes for a vast array of needs. Whether it be ultra-custom, super specific, or hard to find, we are your number one source for wood. We work directly with our partner mills who manage their own forests and reclaimed purveyors with stockpiles of different options. We truly offer a forest to floor (or deconstructed old barn to vintage feature wall) product.

Sustainability

Hunt Hardwood is an FSC certified, chain-of-custody member of the Rainforest Alliance. Hardwood flooring from an FSC certified company means that the wood is coming from a sustainably managed forest – think of it as harvesting – where trees are selectively cut and new ones planted. View this short video featured on This New House that shows how we work forest to floor – starting with sustainably harvested trees all the way to installing a hardwood floor.

Homeowners

We are happy to work with your client homeowners to find the perfect custom wood product based on style, function and budget. As we welcome them into our showroom, we will prepare an array of options that fits not only the aesthetic, but their functional and financial needs. This includes creating custom samples from your specifications, inspiration photos and/or our showroom collections. We cover a vast array of styles from modern to rustic. We understand that you want your clients to enjoy the process of building, renovating and beautifying their home so we will assure that this process is easy, fun and rewarding.

Custom Sampling Process

We typically provide a project specific control sample of flooring (or timber product as needed) that is 3ft by 2ft. Having this large sample is essential to continuity and manages expectations for both us and the client. Some clients pick right from our gallery and others will require a custom sample. The control sample is the quintessential key to our success in assuring customer satisfaction. It will be representative of the final product and ensures that everything meets expectations including grade, color and sheen.

Continuing Education Credits

Can your office benefit from a presentation on wood products? We are currently presenting an AIA registered course on the different cuts of wood. Even if you do not need the continuing education credits, we can tailor the presentation to your specific needs. Let us bring in some lunch or coffee and educate your staff on all things wood. Contact us to set this up (virtual options available soon).
